NEW ORLEANS — Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm was dialed in and the front seven appeared to be getting back into form in Saturday’s Sugar Bowl practice.

The No. 5-ranked Bulldogs (11-2) held their second on-site practice at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome leading up to their game with No. 15 Texas (9-4) at 8:45 p.m. next Tuesday.

All-SEC outside linebacker D’Andre Walker was more than just going through the motions, taking part in thud drills in his second practice back since suffering a groin injury in the SEC title game on Dec. 1.

Freshman defensive tackle Jordan Davis, one of three Georgia players nominated for Freshman All-American honors, was also back taking part in drills.

Davis has a back injury and remains questionable to play in the game, but Walker is expected to go against the Longhorns.

Fromm, meanwhile, had noticeable zip on his passes during the open portion of Saturday’s practice.

Freshman Justin Fields, who could be making his final appearance with Georgia in Tuesday’s game, also looked sharp in the drill work.
