NEW ORLEANS — Georgia outside linebacker D’Andre Walker is dressed out for the Sugar Bowl, but the extent of his playing time remains to be seen.

Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart said Walker would be a game-time decision for the game with Texas, which will kick off at 8:50 p.m. (eastern time) from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Walker aggravated a groin injury in the SEC Championship Game with Georgia leading Alabama 28-21 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Freshman Jordan Davis, an FWAA Freshman All-American candidate, is not dressed out for the game.

Davis injured his back during a routine weightlifting session during Sugar Bowl practices in Athens and has been limited in the on-site practices in New Orleans.

Smart said he had hoped Walker and Davis could play a limited role, but he said both had been “struggling” to get back to 100 percent.

Georgia also continues to be without freshman tailback James Cook, who has been in a protective walking boot and is not dressed for the game.
