WATCH: Nolan Smith against D’Andre Swift in Georgia football hit drill
ATHENS — Anyone who knows anything about Georgia football knows how valuable D’Andre Swift is to the Bulldogs’ national championship hopes in 2019.
It’s a safe bet Kirby Smart is very frugal when it comes to the hits the talented junior tailback is exposed to in practice drills.

That’s why seeing the @UGAfootball film crew capture action of Swift in a full-speed collision drill with outside linebackers Nolan Smith and Azeez Ojulari from Saturday’s practice was noteworthy.

James Cook looked to slip the tackle of Nate McBride in yet another battle featuring a tailback versus a linebacker.
Brian Herrien, as he has through spring drills, continue to show his power running abilities. Herrien lowered his shoulder and ran through a Quay Walker attempt. Tight end John FitzPatrick kept Nakobe Dean tied up with a block, so Dean wasn’t able to offer Walker any assistance in the drill

Cornerback Tyson Campbell showed his improved open-field tackling by taking down receiver Willie Erdman, and Trey Blount and D.J. Daniel were involved in a battle of the No.14s.
The video opens with what appears to be a massive collision between defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt and Trey Hill.
A matchup of Ben Cleveland and Jordan Davis looked intense, as did Cade Mays going head to head with Tyler Clark.
Defensive lineman Tramel Walthour is seen tangling with an offensive lineman that appears to be Warren Ericson in the video.
Georgia practices on Tuesday and Thursday leading up to the G-Day Game at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
