ATHENS — Georgia might not have played its best football game against Notre Dame, but it was certainly one of the most exciting.

There were plenty of positive takeaways.

The No. 3-ranked Bulldogs are 4-0 entering into a bye week, and none of the injuries are of the season-ending variety.

The team has answered several offseason questions from a personnel standpoint, and the halftime adjustments in the win over the Irish were impressive.

That said, Smart made it clear last summer this team would be a work in progress, with his “Do More” slogan, and assertion that “if it ain’t broke, make it better.”

That’s exactly what will happen between now and Georgia’s next game at Tennessee at 7 p.m. on Oct. 5 in Knoxville.
