ATHENS — Georgia sophomore Jake Fromm made it perfectly clear on Wednesday night that this is a business trip for the No. 2-ranked Bulldogs at LSU, and the team will stay dialed in.

“We have our nice business suits on, we’re rocking and rolling, we’re getting on a bus, we’re getting on a plane, so we definitely have that kind of (business) mindset when we travel,” said Fromm, 18-2 since taking over as Georgia’s starting quarterback last season.

“When we travel guys do a really good job of locking in and really focusing on what’s going on and the job ahead.”

The Bulldogs play the Tigers (5-1, 2-1 SEC) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in an SEC showdown in Baton Rouge (TV: CBS, Radio: WSB 750 AM, 95.5 FM).

Fromm said he has heard great things about the LSU environment at Tiger Stadium, but once the game kicks off the venue isn’t a factor.

“I’ve heard it’s incredible, nothing short of an unbelievable football atmosphere, so I’m excited for my opportunity to play in there, and excited for everybody else,’ Fromm said. “It motivates some people to play better, but for me it doesn’t matter if I play there or go play on a dirt field in the middle of nowhere, it doesn’t matter to me.

“I’m playing the game I love, and football is football.”

LSU’s Mike the Tiger exhibit is one of the unique parts of the Death Valley football setting. Fromm said he’ll give it a look without thinking twice about it after that.

“I’m sure the Tiger is pretty cool, I mean, I’d like to see a Tiger, but that’s just another thing,” Fromm said. “You just go out there and you still have to play a football game, the Tiger isn’t going on to be on the field with us, so that’s not going to be a factor in the game whatsoever … at least I hope not.”
