Kirby Smart has called for fans to pack Sanford Stadium on Sunday for the annual G-Day game.
While they can’t quite fill it given construction on the west end, fans should be in for a treat as the hype continues to build for the annual intrasquad scrimmage. Thursday afternoon, the Red and Black rosters were released.

Notably, Justin Fields is on the Black team while Jake Fromm will wear red. The Red team also features Natrez Patrick, Rodrigo Blankenship, Riley Ridley, Terry Godwin and D’Andre Swift.
Don’t get too caught up in the competition because these kinds of events are mostly about recruiting.
The nature of the game has changed under Kirby Smart. As DawgNation’s Bill King noted recently, Mark Richt drew just more than 46,000 at his final spring game while attendence has grown under Smart. The program even released a hype video to try and push fans toward attending.
Fromm’s offseason improvement, Fields’ skill set and the Bulldogs offense without Sony Michel or Nick Chubb will be just a few things to keep an eye on.
