SportsTrust is headquartered in Atlanta. Pat Dye Jr., son of the former Auburn head coach, is the agency’s founder and CEO. Other notable 2017 draft prospects to sign with SportsTrust are Alabama S Eddie Jackson, Tennessee WR Josh Malone, Alabama DL Dalvin Tomlinson and Kentucky RB Boom Williams.
CBS Sports ranks McKenzie as the No. 38 receiver in this year’s draft class. He’s projected as a late-round pick or an undrafted free agent.
“I thought about it, and things like that. I just thought about it. I talked to coach Smart. I talked to the coaching staff,” McKenzie said when he announced his decision Dec. 30. “I just came up with a decision and made it myself. I talked to my mother when I flew back home. I just decided to (declare).”
McKenzie holds school records for punt return touchdowns (5) and total return touchdowns (6). He had 60 career receptions for 823 yards and 7 touchdowns at Georgia. He also ran for 329 career yards and 4 touchdowns.
