Georgia’s offense has been moving the ball, but the Bulldogs could be without a big weapon in wide receiver Javon Wims who was seen leaving the sidelines for the locker room during the second quarter of Monday’s National Championship Game.

Wims, who made 44 receptions for 704 yards and 7 touchdowns, had caught one pass for 16 yards so far against the Crimson Tide.

The Bulldogs lead Alabama 6-0 with 1:19 in the first half.

Update: Wims is back on the sideline and able to return to action, per ESPN.

“I saw Javon Wims come back on to the field,” Maria Taylor said. “I’m told it’s a left shoulder and he will return to the game, which is great news for Jake Fromm. They spent the entire offseason working with one another, building that rhythm that we’ve seen throughout these playoff games.”

“Wow, Maria, that’s great news,” Kirk Herbstreit said. “The way he looked going into the locker room you wonder if he would have a chance to come back. Like you said, these two have great chemistry. When in doubt, the young freshman likes to look to No. 6.”
