The Great Wall of Georgia, as UGA fans like to call it, just got better. On Monday night the Bulldogs landed a commitment from 4-star prospect Joshua Braun out of Live Oak, Fla.
Braun is the No. 25 offensive tackle in the class and rates as a 4-star prospect. He is the fourth offensive lineman to join the class, along with 5-star offensive tackle Broderick Jones, 4-star offensive tackle Tate Ratledge and 4-star guard Akinola Ogunbiyi.
Braun is the younger brother of Texas offensive lineman Parker Braun, who was an All-ACC offensive lineman at Georgia Tech. Braun’s other older brother, Trey, also played for Georgia Tech.
DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell caught up with Braun in May and he explained why Georgia is such an attractive program.
“Once more I have to bring up their great academics,” he said. “But aside from academics, Tate Ratledge just committed. He is one of the top offensive linemen in the country. Playing with him would be good for my game and good for his game. Through the years if we played together, we’d have a pretty solid tackle base.”

“There is another great tackle coming in, too. [5-star Broderick Jones] I think they have two. So the guys in my class would be the best in the nation. The defensive lineman I’d be playing against would be the best in the nation. If you are going against those guys in practice and playing with those guys on Saturday, you’re going to be prepared for whatever comes at you. So that’s what I am attracted to at Georgia.”
Even with four offensive line commits, Georgia likely isn’t done yet in terms of offensive line recruiting in the 2020 class. The Bulldogs are very much in the running for the likes of Andrew Raym, the No. 2 guard in the 2020 class, and Sedrick Van Pran, the No. 3 center in the class.
This is shaping up to be a very big recruiting weekend for Georgia, given that 5-star running back Kendall Milton will be on campus for his official visit this weekend. Milton is the No. 3 running back in the country and a major target for the Bulldogs.
Milton took notice of Braun’s commitment on Monday night.
