Juwan Taylor’s smart play saves Georgia TD vs. South Carolina
Georgia linebacker Juwan Taylor made a heads-up play to preserve the opening score in UGA’s SEC showdown at South Carolina.
Here’s what happened: Early in the first quarter, UGA cornerback Deandre Samuel intercepted South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley and returned it 56 yards for a touchdown.
However, TV replays clearly showed that Baker dropped the ball inches before he crossed the goal line for the touchdown. The TV replays also showed the Baker’s UGA teammate, Juwan Taylor, swooped in behind Baker to fall on the ball in the end zone.
It was a very smart play by Taylor, who plays linebacker for the Bulldogs.
