Kirby Smart jokes about getting trucked by Travon Walker after chest bump
If you think UGA’s defense is tough, how about the team’s head coach?
After freshman defensive tackle Travon Walker made a game-clinching sack on Auburn quarterback Bo Nix, Walker was congratulated near the sidelines by an exuberant head coach, UGA’s Kirby Smart.
It did not go well for Smart, as he was swiftly knocked to the ground by Walker, who stands 6-foot-5 and nearly 300 pounds.
Props to Smart for rolling off the ground in a graceful way back to his feet.
Smart, who was in a glorious mood after clinching the SEC East with a tough road win over Auburn, even joked about the now-viral event after the game. He was asked if he regretted his celebratory move with Walker.
“Hell no. I’d chest-bump Travon all day. I thought I might lose an ACL, but I was committed to it.”
