Bears release awesome video hyping rookie Leonard Floyd
Former Georgia linebacker Leonard Floyd may have missed a few weeks in his rookie season with the Bears due to injury, but he’s made the most of the time he has on the field.
Floyd has recorded 32 tackles and 7 sacks in 10 games, making him one of the few bright spots for a Bears team that hasn’t had a lot of things go its way. On Saturday, the Bears released a video hyping Floyd’s accomplishments and pushing his candidacy for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
You might call him Flo.
You might call him #94.
With stats like this you might be calling @Leonard90Flo 'Defensive Rookie of the Year.' pic.twitter.com/sdhcE06Bgz— Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) December 17, 2016
Floyd ranks 31st among rookies in total tackles but leads them in sacks, ahead of Chargers and former Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa. Former Florida safety Keanu Neal leads all rookies with 87 tackles for the Falcons.
Floyd has already surpassed his highest level of production at Georgia. His career high was 6.5 sacks his first season. Last season, Floyd had just 4.5 sacks but did record 74 tackles.
