LOOK: Georgia leaves Atlanta airport for Rose Bowl on plane that’s carried past 2 national champions
Georgia is en route to Pasadena, Calif., as players and coaches departed from the Atlanta airport on Tuesday. The Bulldogs play Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
And it appears Georgia may have some good luck working in its favor.
According to the Atlanta airport’s Twitter account, the Delta #747 plane that is taking the Bulldogs to the Rose Bowl is the same plane that has carried the past two national champions during the College Football Playoff — Alabama in 2015 and Clemson in 2016.

This week, Georgia will be preparing for its first appearance in the College Football Playoff since the system was put into place in 2014. The winner of the Bulldogs-Sooners game will face either Alabama or Clemson for the national championship on Jan. 8.
Georgia sealed its spot in the College Football Playoff after beating Auburn for the SEC championship on Dec. 2. The Bulldogs are 12-1, as their only loss came against Auburn in the teams’ first meeting on Nov. 11.
