When he was the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs, Mark Richt liked to keep things fresh and give his team a surprise.
The annual pool day was a day the Bulldogs could look forward to as a way to break up the monotony of training camp and summer workouts. And then it came with the added bonus of watching Richt take a dive off the 10-meter platform. He has done it since at least 2009 with only a year in 2011 that he did not following a disappointing season. It is always a fun day and breather for the team.
Richt appears to be carrying on the pool day tradition to his new digs in Miami.
The Hurricanes took their turn off the high dive with Richt on Friday during summer workouts as Richt tries to establish the culture he made in Athens in South Florida.

It looks like Richt has not lost his form at all.
There is no word if Kirby Smart will keep the pool day tradition or take a dive off the high dive either. That may not be in his DNA.
