Matthew Stafford is the quarterback for the Detroit Lions.

WATCH: Former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford shames Aaron Rodgers with beer chug

Former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford clearly has the upper hand on Aaron Rodgers when it comes to one area: Chugging a beer.

While at the Milwaukee Bucks game on Thursday night, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was shown on the jumbotron. One of his teammates, left tackle David Bakhtiari, was shown just seconds before downing a beer with ease. Rodgers than attempted to down his beer in one sip. The talented Green Bay quarterback failed miserably.

The story could’ve ended there. But shortly afterward, video of Stafford appeared. And he showed that not all quarterbacks have issues with putting down a full beer.

Stafford has rarely gotten the better of Rodgers when the two have met on the football field in recent years. But this is absolutely a huge win for the former Georgia quarterback. But Stafford is clearly a man of the people, showing that when you start chugging a beer, you better finish it.

Stafford stared at Georgia from 2006 through 2008. His stellar play led him to being selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Lions. He has spent his entire career with the Lions. Stafford should surpass the 40,000 career yards mark and 250 career touchdown passes this coming season.

This offseason has not been the easiest for Stafford and his family, as his wife underwent brain surgery in April.
