Georgia is in a unique company with the country’s best safety prospect.
Jeffrey Okudah, a 5-star prospect and the No. 1 safety for the class of 2017, released his top 6 on Monday night. The Grand Prairie, Tx, native listed only one SEC school in his list and that was the Bulldogs.

Okudah is the No. 2 prospect in the state of Texas as well as the No. 5 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
It is believed that Ohio State and Oklahoma are believed to be the favorites to land Okudah. He told Jeremy Birmingham of Land of 10 about where he stands with his recruiting.
“What’s left is for me to visit the schools I’ve not had a chance to visit yet, so I don’t leave any stones unturned,” Okudah said. “I’m definitely interested in seeing Clemson, they’re one of the schools that have offered I’ve not been to.”
The Bulldogs received two commitments on Sunday in the form of offensive tackle Andrew Thomas and running back Toneil Carter. With their commitments, along with 5-star Robert Beal, the Bulldogs have surged past Alabama and currently have the No. 2 class in the country.
Georgia trails only Ohio State in the Composite class rankings.
