Former Georgia offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn wasn’t a high-profile player heading into this week of Senior Bowl practices, but it looks like he’ll leave Mobile, Ala., with a good shot to be selected early in the 2018 NFL Draft.

According to NFL draft expert Mike Mayock, Wynn was among the most impressive players at the Senior Bowl this week.

Here is what he had to say about the former Bulldogs player:

“I thought Wynn, the Georgia tackle who played guard this week, was the most intriguing guy here,” Mayock wrote. “He had a dominant week of practice. He’s helped himself a great deal.”

Those are strong words from Mayock, who is often critical of potential NFL draftees. In fact, in this story he criticized highly touted quarterback prospects Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen.

According to WalterFootball.com, Wynn is the No. 5 tackle in the upcoming draft. He is projected to be a second- or third-round draft choice, but that was before Wynn’s brilliant week at the Senior Bowl.

Wynn also received praise from the Senior Bowl coaches, scouts and other media this week and was named offensive lineman of the week.

The 2018 Senior Bowl will be shown on the NFL Network at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
