All indications are Georgia running back Nick Chubb is ready to return to the field and play in the Bulldogs first game of the season less than a year after suffering a gruesome knee injury against Tennessee in 2015.
Chubb’s return is enough to get Georgia fans and his teammates fired up, but then he went and threw fuel on that fire by posting an inspirational message to his Instagram account.
Chubb has looked solid in training camp by all accounts and his coaches and teammates have raved about how he has rebounded from the injury. Now, all that remains to be seen is how healthy he truly is and whether he’s capable of getting all the way back to the form that earned him the SEC Freshman of the Year two years ago.
Georgia will kickoff its season late Saturday afternoon (5:30 p.m., ESPN) in the Georgia Dome against North Carolina.
