David Andrews did not get drafted after his outstanding career at Georgia.
He has since started at center in two Super Bowls for the New England Patriots.
On Thursday night the Patriots drafted Isaiah Wynn, another Georgia offensive lineman, in the first round.
They two former Bulldogs are now reunited in New England and will look to continue the Patriots stretch of dominance in the NFL. Andrews sent Wynn a congratulatory tweet as soon as the former Bulldogs left tackle was drafted, with an eye on Wynn’s now forthcoming contract.
Welcome to my dawg @iwynn77 so proud and happy for you brother. Now let’s go to work. Oh yeah dinner is on you!

Former Georgia coach Mark Richt was also thrilled for his former player.
Congratulations to Isaiah Wynn! The newest New England Patriot!

Both Andrews and Wynn became fan favorites in Athens due to their hard work and versatility in leading the way on multiple Georgia offensive lines as well as providing senior leadership throughout the team. They played on the same team when Andrews was a senior and Wynn was a freshman. Despite being “undersized”, Andrews and Wynn became the best players on their respective units.
If Wynn does in fact move back to the guard position as he projects, he will get to play on either side of Andrews on the Patriots offensive line protecting Tom Brady.
Oh, and another former Bulldog, Malcolm Mitchell, is also on the Patriots. It’s a party.
