Another talented UGA commit has decided to sign his financial aid papers with the school.
Chad Clay, a 3-star defensive back from Peachtree Ridge High School (Suwanee, Ga.), announced the signing Sunday night on Twitter. Clay committed to UGA on May 18 and is slated to enroll early at the school. If so, he will be on campus a week from Monday.
By signing his financial aid form, Clay has officially reserved a scholarship spot at UGA. Although it does not bind him to the program, signing the form allows for unlimited contact with the coaching staff and is seen as a strong sign of commitment from the prospect.
After receiving an in-home visit from new head coach Kirby Smart on Dec. 9, Clay told DawgNation he felt reassured about his standing with the program.
