WATKINSVILLE, Ga. — Jaleel Laguins said Tuesday afternoon that his commitment to UGA is still “pretty solid.”

That said, the senior plans to take at least two more official visits to Kentucky and LSU. He also recently took an official visit to Nebraska for its game against Wisconsin. What’s the latest for the 4-star inside linebacker from Oconee County High School?

“I feel like I should still be able to give some schools that aspect of getting me out there on campus and wooing me like Auburn did and like Georgia did and like North Carolina did and like South Carolina did and like North Carolina State did.”

Laguins said it is hard to tell a recruiter that’s been talking to him for at least a year that he doesn’t want to see their school on an official visit. He said he’s grown close to some coaches.

“Telling some of these coaches no is like telling your dream girl no to the dance,” Laguins said. “It is hard.”

He answered the following questions for DawgNation in the video interview above:

  • How is senior season going?
  • What other official visits does he plan to take?
  • What does he think of those SEC schools?
  • What was his experience like at the Missouri game?
  • Did he think committing before the season was the right thing for him to do?
