It doesn’t take much to make a Georgia fan happy on G-Day. But Zamir White went ahead and made sure of that for most all of DawgNation.

The nation’s No. 1 RB tweeted that out on Friday afternoon. White, one of Georgia’s Top 2 targets by anyone’s measure for 2018, will return for at least his third trip to UGA in 2017.

The not-quite 6-foot-1 and 220-pounder just visited Ohio State this past weekend. He’s rated as the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect for 2018.

The Scotland County (N.C) star back would check off an immediate glaring need for UGA with its next recruiting class. It pertains to the impending last laps for both Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. Those two stalwarts were 5-stars in their own right back in 2014.

Who fills those cleats and those empty lockers? Brian Herrien and Elijah Holyfield are both on campus and prized signee D’Andre Swift is also on the way in the Class of 2017.

But White is a special back. So talented that Georgia’s previous coaching staff felt he rated higher as a sophomore than any back they were pursuing in the Class of 2016 and 2017.

Need to know more about the young man they call Zeus? The North Carolina RB has was already being compared to former UGA great Todd Gurley back when he was just a freshman in high school.

The 5-star back runs with power and elusiveness and yet also hopes to clock 10.5 seconds in the 100 meters this spring for the varsity track team.

How does his recruiting decision shape up? DawgNation has learned the UGA is right at the top spot. Ohio State is also a strong contender. Clemson and Alabama are also pursuing him heavily.
