What sort of impression did the recruits have about the big 41-17 road win in South Carolina?

From time to time, the staff at DawgNation will answer direct questions from readers about subjects pertinent to UGA football. This installment reflects the opinion of a few recruits after the big SEC road win at South Carolina this past weekend.

“They came out and did what they had to do. They dominated. They executed and they just came out on top.”

4-star ATH Jammie Robinson (2019)

Nation’s No. 28 ATH/ No. 337 overall

Jammie Robinson has yet to set up his official visit to UGA but says he is still working on those dates. (Jeff Sentell/DawgNation)

4-star S Lewis Cine (2019)

Nation’s No. 3 safety / No. 50 overall

“I think Georgia has a lot of talent and they are going to keep adding to that. A dominant performance on both offense and defense. They are really showing they are a championship contender.”

4-star DE Jacolbe Cowan (2020)

Nation’s No. 6 strong-side DE / No. 56 overall

Jacolbe Cowan ranks as the nation’s No. 6 strong-side DE for 2020 per the 247Sports composite. (Jeff Sentell/DawgNation)

“It was a very impressive win for Georgia against a very talented USC team. A game like that doesn’t really have any impression on me at all because at the end of the day I won’t be choosing a school simply based off a win. I still think highly of both football programs.”

“Both teams had very similar schemes. Being that they are SEC teams they primarily ran the 3-4 and sometimes went to a 4-3 on third down. I loved how aggressive each defense was and I thought both defenses played well.”

4-star DT Jamil Burroughs  (2020 UGA commit)

Nation’s No. 4 DT / No.61 overall

Jamil Burroughs was happy to see the Bulldogs earn a big win on Saturday. (Jeff Sentell/DawgNation)

“They played to a high standard and they worked well together as a TEAM and Got the W.”

4-star DT Alex Huntley (2020)

Nation’s No. 17 DT / No. 210 overall

“I think the Georgia defense looked great. Their run defense controlled the game. Watching them, you couldn’t tell that they lost a few guys last year. I think they only allowed 50 (rushing) yards.”

4-star WR Rico Powers Jr. (2020)

Nation’s No. 28 WR / No. 181 overall

Rico Powers is a 4-star WR in the class of 2020 out of Savannah. He shared this UGA edit on Sept. 1 from his Twitter account. (Rico Powers/Twitter)
