Breaking: Georgia commit opts to re-open his recruiting process
Prospects that commit on Christmas Day would seem to be pretty set in their decisions.
That’s no longer the case with Breon Dixon. The four-star linebacker from Grayson High School tweeted out on Sunday that he has decided to re-open his recruitment.
His thoughts appear below and it appears he will not be granting interviews until further notice.

That is a pretty telling decision on many levels. Dixon was the second commitment of the Kirby Smart era back on Christmas Day.
He also gave Georgia a very big edge in the recruitment of four-star cornerback DeAngelo Gibbs. His Grayson teammate is the top uncommitted prospect for the Class of 2017 in Georgia.
His decision also leaves Georgia with just one commitment at LB for the Class of 2017. The de-commitment drops Georgia’s tally of verbal pledges down to 14 for this year’s signing class.
The 6-foot 218-pounder is rated as the nation’s No. 11 prospect at ILB and the No. 222 prospect overall for 2017.
Georgia’s options and targets are linebacker are now the deepest and the most important position remaining for the Class of 2017. Look for the Bulldogs to sign 5-6 linebackers during this recruiting cycle.
