The recruiting timeline and curious saga for 5-star DT Aubrey Solomon finally completed its long-and-winding course. The nation’s No. 2 DT prospect and No. 25 overall prospect arrived at his decision.

Alabama? Georgia? Michigan? USC?

He chose Michigan during a televised ceremony on ESPNU.

It required a lot of thinking. Solomon has at one time told media members that at least five schools led for him during his recruitment.

He was committed to Michigan, but then de-committed after an error in team correspondence misspelled his name.

It also thanked him for attending a program event he was not in town for.

He went back and re-committed to that school in the end.

Solomon and his mother had stated several reasons to choose UGA in the past.

He also established a tight bond with Georgia’s nine commitments at the U.S. Army All-American game in Texas earlier this month.

Alabama had also been considered as a serious contender for his decision.
