Georgia basketball netted two hoops commitments on Monday morning. Tom Crean’s program looked to the same junior college programs for two likely instant impact talents in 3-star small forward Jonathan Ned and 3-star guard Mikal Starks.

Rivals.com rates both prospects as 3-star recruits for the class of 2020.

Georgia has had a busy recruiting cycle of late, picking up three basketball commitments since 6-foot-8 Norcross High standout Josh Taylor chose the Bulldogs on Sept. 25.

Starks (6-0/185) is a pure guard out of South Florida for his Titans. He averaged 5.1 points, 2.8 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game as a freshman last season. He did so shooting 40 percent from the floor and 13 percent from three-point territory. He was 71 percent from the line in the 2018-2019 season.

The Titans went 28-8 last season. Ned and Starks started nine and eight games, respectively, for the program as JUCO freshmen.

Starks just picked up his first offer from Georgia back on Sept. 15.

Eastern Florida State College put together two highlight reels of each prospect heading into their sophomore seasons.
