Randrecous Davis, a 3-star receiver from Metro Atlanta’s Mays High School, is currently committed to UGA.

That hasn’t stopped two coaches from the now-dismantled UGA coaching staff he committed to from seeing if that pledge will last. Davis picked up an offer from Miami earlier this week.

Mays coach Corey Jarvis also told DawgNation.com this morning that former UGA assistant Thomas Brown has been actively recruiting Davis and he believes that the nation’s No. 68 receiver will now take an official visit to Miami.

Davis tweeted out “UGA or Miami?” from his social media account earlier on Saturday morning, but that tweet has since been deleted. Jarvis said Davis told him he was interested in hearing what Brown and Miami have to say.

He also said that new South Carolina receivers coach Bryan McClendon has reached out trying to gauge his interest. McClendon is an alum from the same high school program as Davis.

The other side of the equation is just how much Kirby Smart‘s new UGA staff is interested in Davis. The speedy 5-foot-10, 175-pounder told DawgNation that he had been in contact with Smart after he took the job last month.

Jarvis also said that he had not heard from a UGA coach since before school let out for the holidays back in December. He was asked if he was worried that the new UGA staff might not feel the same way about Davis as the previous one did.

“A little,” Jarvis said.

UGA just added 4-star receiver Riley Ridley as an early enrollee to its Class of 2016 this week. Smart also just officially hired UGA’s new receivers coach in James Coley this week.

If he chose to sign elsewhere, it would be another Reuben Foster situation. The highly rated blue-chip recruit got an Auburn tattoo, but wound up signing with Alabama. That would be the same for Davis. He sports a red Georgia “G” on his bicep.
