Jacob Eason officially signed his paperwork with UGA on Friday, but the 5-star quarterback may have created more buzz with a simple tweet.

For those up to date on when UGA targets plan to commit, Sept. 4 is the day when Alabama 5-star defensive end Marlon Davidson and 4-star running back Elijah Holyfield will announce their commitments.
Now, I don’t think the Bulldogs have a great chance to land Davidson. At this point, it does seem like a two-team race between Alabama and Auburn, even if he says otherwise.
However, I do think that UGA has a good chance at landing Holyfield on Sept. 4. Out of the schools in his top five (UGA, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and South Carolina), he’s taken more trips to UGA than any other school as of late — and that’s important.
On his most recent visit to the school, Nick Chubb told the son of boxing legend Evander Holyfield that if he came to UGA, he and the other running backs want to make sure that he’s the No. 1 tailback in the country. Holyfield loved that message.
Perhaps we’ll see if Eason’s tweet is foreshadowing the arrival of a new teammate in the backfield.
