Dominick Blaylock, JD Bertrand, and Ryland Goede are part of Georgia's No. 1-2019 recruiting class.

5-star WR Dominick Blaylock leading charge for another top-ranked Georgia class

ATLANTA — Georgia commit Dominick Blaylock, a 5-star wide receiver, has been on the recruiting hunt for the Bulldogs’ 2019 class.

“I’ve been trying to flip Chris Hinton over to Georgia,” Blaylock told DawgNation. “He’s at Michigan right now, but I’ve been trying to flip him back over to Georgia. That’s one addition that would be great for Georgia.”

Hinton is the fourth-ranked player in Georgia in the 2019 class from Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross. Hinton, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive end, committed to Michigan before his junior season.

Blaylock was in attendance Wednesday at Sports & Social to watch his friend Ryland Goede commit to Georgia. Goede is a 4-star tight end in the 2019 class. Blaylock mentioned to DawgNation in November that he has been trying to get Goede to commit to Georgia.

“I text him all the time, I told him, it’s time to pull the trigger and to come to Georgia,” Blaylock said in November.

On Signing Day, Goede chose the Bulldogs over Auburn and Florida. Goede plans to become to two-sport athlete while in Athens. He committed to play both football and baseball for Georgia. Because Goede is a 2019 recruit, he will not sign until December at the earliest.

Blaylock and Goede are two of six in-state commitments for Georgia’s 2019 class. That also includes 4-star Blessed Trinity linebacker J.D. Bertrand.

“I’m glad that he is on board now,” Blaylock said. “Now it’s the crew; Me, J.D., Goede are on board now, we’re excited to be playing at Georgia.”

To show their friendship, Blaylock assisted Goede with his college decision:

Georgia now turns its focus to signing back-to-back top-ranked classes. If Blaylock manages to flip Hinton from Michigan, he’ll go down as a Bulldogs legend — before even stepping on campus.
