HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Florida recruit Jeawon Taylor says he’s 100 percent committed to the Gators, but he has a school in mind as a plan B option.
That school is UGA. He says the Bulldogs could be a fallback choice for him because of coach Kirby Smart.
“It may be because he was there (for me) before I blew up and became what I am today,” Taylor told SEC Country. “Kirby Smart is just a great coach. That’s the bottom line.”
What’s interesting about his comments is the fact that one of his best friends, 5-star linebacker Lyndell Wilson, is now considering UGA because of Smart.
Taylor, who is the nation’s No. 31 safety, says recruiting Wilson is his biggest priority at the moment.
In the video below, you can get the answers to the following questions:
1) What is the status of Taylor’s commitment? 2) What have the Gators coaches been telling him as of late? 3) Is it concerning to him that Florida has several defensive backs committed in this year’s recruiting class? 4) What were his thoughts on the SEC championship game?
