Mark Richt wasted no time.

With new recruiting rules regarding social media going into effect on Monday, the former Georgia head coach –now at Miami– went on a retweeting spree shortly after midnight. The Miami coach fired off 11 retweets, as coaches and staff may now recognize a recruit’s social media activity. They cannot comment on the social media posts, but can retweet, favorite, share, like and repost.

Few SEC coaches jumped in once the clock stuck midnight, but several were active on Monday morning.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart was not one of them.

Smart has yet to retweet any prospects, but that could be because the first-year head coach is getting ready for his first camp as a head coach on Monday.

The Bulldogs aren’t doing too shabby on the recruiting trail without the new regulations, as Georgia currently holds the nation’s No. 3 recruiting class and the SEC’s No. 2 group, according to 247 Sports.
