ATHENS, Ga. — The second day of the Kirby Smart camp featured a morning and an afternoon session. That allowed the chance for a quartet of big names to show up at the Lake Herrick Parking Deck at Georgia.

Did the best players on hand work out? Some did. Some chose not to. Major UGA targets Walter Grant and Malik Herring worked out in the morning session. So did UGA commit Jaden Hunter.

Tyreke Johnson, one of Georgia’s top targets for 2018, was on hand for both sessions as an observer. He was hanging out with Georgia defensive back Reggie Wilkerson. Johnson has told DawgNation in the past that Wilkerson has been one of his biggest influences in his life.

The day also offered the chance to get a visual on how the weight room has changed a lot of the players bodies over the spring and summer. Patrick Allen, Chris Barnes, Michail Carter, Jaleel Laguins, Brice Ramsey, Dyshon Sims and D’Andre Walker all worked the camp.

It also offered the chance to check out graduate transfer Tyler Catalina.
