Robert Beal announced last May that he would transfer from Norcross High School to IMG Academy for his senior season.

Now, he’s coming home.

The 4-star Georgia commit has left Bradenton’s powerhouse program and enrolled at Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, Ga.) High school, according to 247Sports‘ Kipp Adams, who cites a source. He will no longer enroll early and will instead join the Bulldogs next summer.

Beal committed to Georgia in July after de-committing from Notre Dame in February. He took an official visit to Alabama on Oct. 1 and Florida State on Oct. 14.

“That trip will be building relationships,” Beal told DawgNation prior to the Alabama trip. “I’ve been there about a thousand times, but this weekend is about building relationships and seeing how I like it now. Seeing how it compares to Georgia now.”

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect recently told DawgNation that he will take all five of his official visits — a stark comparison from his previous statements.

Bulldogs fans shouldn’t worry too much, as 247Sports’ reports that he is still going to Georgia. Beal told DawgNation as much in September.

“But I’m still locked into Georgia. It will be hard for me to flip. … I would tell the Georgia fans not to worry too much. Tell them I’m coming home.”

Beal is ranked as the nation’s No. 49 overall prospect, the country’s No. 4 weak-side defensive end and the state of Georgia’s No. 5 overall prospect.
