Good news for UGA as nation’s No. 2 athlete sets his Top 7
Richard LeCounte III, the nation’s No. 2 athlete for 2017, had some good news for UGA on Sunday.
LeCounte tweeted out his Top 7 schools in no order and included UGA in that group along with Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State and Georgia Southern. The 4-star prospect told DawgNation last month that he was very high on UGA, Auburn, Clemson and Ohio State.
He’s visited UGA a few times this season. The junior defensive back and receiver also has taken at least two trips to Ohio State dating back to this summer. His most likely position at the next level would be at free safety or cornerback.
The 6-foot, 180-pounder wears No. 4 in tribute to his grandmother. She worked in the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department while he was growing up. LeCounte said last month that he expected to make his college commitment in December.
