The Jordan Davis commitment set off a very interesting wave of UGA reactions

Jordan Davis is rated as a 4-star prospect.

OK, Twitter.

When Jordan Davis committed to Georgia on Thursday night, there were the expected tweets. The fist bumps from the coaching staff. The acknowledgment that defensive line coach Tray Scott was continuing to put in the work for his “Trench Mob” group for the Class of 2018.

That was the first act. His future teammates followed a very well-crafted tweet from Davis.

The 10-star welcome came swiftly. It came with a double barrel of tweets from 5-star commits Justin Fields and Zamir White.

But then it was safe to say that things got … well, very interesting as the night wore on.

What was that tweet from 4-star WR target Alontae “Tae” Taylor? He welcomed Davis with a quote tweeting his decision.

But. Taylor. Has. Not. Committed. To. Georgia.
