After announcing his commitment to Georgia earlier in the day, 5-star quarterback Justin Fields capped a 24 hours he’ll always remember with a 7-touchdown performance in a win over Sprayberry (Marietta, Ga.) on Friday night.

Fields, the nation’s top-ranked player in the 2018 recruiting class according to 247Sports composite rankings, started his whirlwind day by announcing his commitment to Georgia during a pep rally at Harrison High School (Kennesaw, Ga.). Hours later, he led the Harrison Hoyas to a 63-40 win over Sprayberry, putting up cartoonish numbers in the process.

Georgia fans, grab a handkerchief to dab your brow. Make sure you have a fainting chair nearby, because these stats will make you weak in the knees.

According to Jeff Sentell of DawgNation, Fields completed 16 of 20 passes for 263 yards and 5 touchdowns. He ran the ball 8 times for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns. Fields has 29 total touchdowns in six games — averaging nearly 5 touchdowns a game.

He’s going to be a good one, Dawg Nation.
