UPDATE: After getting some new information late on Tuesday night, the AJC (via Chris Kirschner) has changed its 247sports.com Crystal Ball prediction from UGA to Auburn. We’ll see what happens at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

It’s commitment day for one of the state’s best prospects.

Jaleel Laguins, one of UGA’s top targets at LB, will announce his commitment at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. during a cememony at Oconee County High School.

It’s believed that the 4-star LB will either choose UGA or Auburn.

You will be able to watch the announcement live in the link below:

The AJC talked with the linebacker on Tuesday, and he gave off the impression that he won’t be playing for the school down the road from him.

Here’s what he had to say about him and UGA:

“Maybe it’s not the hometown that’s best for me,” Laguins told the AJC. “Everybody wants you to stay at home. Maybe it’s best for me to branch out as a man and grow as a man and develop as a man, so I need to get away from home so I can think on my own. I won’t have my mom waking me up every morning. Yes, I do love my family and I’m not trying to get away from them necessarily, but at the same time I do feel like I need to branch out and grow as a man.”

My prediction: Auburn
