When Texas speedster Davion Curtis committed to UGA last summer, his mother wasn’t thrilled about it. Curtis even went as far as to say his mother was “upset.”

“They didn’t want to move out of Texas because I’m one of their little babies,” Curtis told the AJC’s DawgNation.com.

“I was sad at first but now I’m pretty excited about it.”

Of course, his mother’s initial feelings weren’t anything personal against UGA. It was more about the fact that the Bulldogs are located over 900 miles away from Temple, Texas.

However, things were apparently smoothed over after Curtis and his parents made an official visit to UGA recently. He’s a 3-star receiver who also had offers from Texas Tech and Houston.
