Jamaree Salyer is a ‘future NFL player,’ according to former NFL All-Pro Chris Slade, who starred with the New England Patriots and is now head coach at Pace Academy.
That perspective Sunday star is strongly considering UGA right now. He has heard the rumblings around the program about a potential coaching change, but his affinity toward the Bulldogs won’t stop if some coaches don’t return.
“It’s really about just playing football and getting around good coaches,” Salyer told DawgNation. “If they do make a coaching change and I find a coach that I like up there — and I do like the coaches up there now — but if they have to make a coaching change, and the coaches up there are cool, then I’ll roll with whatever they got.”
Salyer, the nation’s No. 1 offensive guard in the class of 2018, doesn’t have any leaders right now, but UGA is definitely in the mix to land him when he does decide to make his commitment.
“They’re still in my top,” he said. “I haven’t really put a lot of thought into what my top five, top three, top 10, all of that. I’m just trying to go through recruiting and experience it, but (UGA) is still in my top.”
Salyer is rated as the state of Georgia’s No. 5 prospect in the class of 2018.
