Carson Beck, it seems, is already clocked in and going to work for Georgia on the recruiting trail.
He made sure to reach out to Las Vegas 5-star Darnell Washington over the weekend. That seems like he was just getting started.
Quarterbacks commit early to big programs to be cornerstones. Everyone wants to block or catch passes or take handoffs from those golden boys.
That’s apparently the play call that Beck set his mind on for Tuesday afternoon. He wanted to do his part to help Georgia build another great class. The Bulldogs have finished up rated No. 3, No. 1 and No. 2 nationally over the last three cycles under head coach Kirby Smart.
Beck reached out on social media to the following UGA commits or major targets on Tuesday afternoon:
- 5-star OT commit Broderick Jones
- 4-star OT target Tate Ratledge
- 5-star ATH target Arik Gilbert
- 5-star WR Rakim Jarrett
- 4-star WR Jermaine Burton
Carson Beck rates as the nation’s No. 62 overall prospect for the 2020 class on the 247Sports Composite ratings. Expect that to climb. He’s clearly one of the best pure passers in the 2020 class. (Carson Beck/Instagram)
This has been a whirlwind recruiting for Beck. He didn’t even get his UGA offer until Feb. 27.
He committed on March 3 and now he’s already an invested stakeholder ready to help with the 2020 class for Georgia.
It seems like Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs now have the nation’s No. 3 QB prospect working the trail for Georgia, too.
Beck’s commitment to UGA rounded out a great weekend that also saw 4-star WR Justin Robinson commit to the Bulldogs.
Those two gains for the class pushed the Bulldogs up to five total commits for 2020.
That now places the Bulldogs at No. 12 nationally on the 247Sports Team Composite ratings for this cycle.
