Notre Dame trumps UGA, Alabama and others with recruiting gimmick for nation’s top receiver
Demetris Robertson is the nation’s newly-christened No. 1 receiver.
UGA wants him — badly. So does Alabama, Cal, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame and Stanford. Yet one school might have rolled to the top when it comes to catching the prospect’s eye.
Wake up the echoes? How about Notre Dame waking up a 5-star with an 18-wheeler?
Robertson tweeted out the following video from his account on Thursday morning after spying an 18-wheeler decked out to the hills as a rolling billboard for the blue-and-gold.

Where will Robertson go? Expect to see his recruitment extend beyond Signing Day.
He recently took the SAT and is waiting on a score. If he increases his score some 100 points, then he can take an official visit to Stanford. That’s his favored school. The 6-foot-, 175-pounder has already taken official visits to Cal and Notre Dame. He’s also planning another official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend.
A report surfaced last night that had Robertson’s family agreeing to take a long-sought official visit to UGA on the weekend after National Signing Day. It appears there’s a long way to go in this one before all the 18-wheelers can go home.
