UGA hosted several recruits committed to other schools Saturday for the South Carolina game, and Oregon pledge Jared Mayden was one of them.

Mayden, a 4-star cornerback from Sachse, Texas, told 247Sports.com that UGA is now his No. 2 school.

“The best part was gameday,” Mayden told 247Sports.com’s Justin Hopkins. “Being on the bus and leading up to ‘Dawg walk.’ That was a lot of fun. The defense was pretty good. I know I could fit in with the man concept and I liked how coach (Jeremy) Pruitt explained how he could use me.”

He continued: “They (Georgia) are not out of anything,” Mayden said. “I really like Georgia.”

The 6-foot, 190-pounder says he’s still fully committed to Oregon, but did say that anything can change.

Mayden said he may continue to take visits, but it may not happen because he’s “tired.” He did mention possible trips to USC and Florida. Mayden is the No. 10-rated cornerback in the country, and the No. 19 player in Texas.
