Otis Reese is a 4-star outside linebacker from Lee County High School in Leesburg. Reese, who is 6-foot-4 and 206 pounds, is the nation’s No. 87 prospect and the No. 5 player at his position, as ranked on the 247Sports composite.

1. Biggest competition for Otis Reese

Jim Harbaugh and Kirby Smart are facing off in this one. Reese has been committed to Michigan since June 18, 2016, – coinciding with a Michigan satellite camp in Georgia – but Smart and the Bulldogs have come on strong.

2. Signing Day plan

Reese plans to announce his decision at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Lee County High School. It is set to be broadcast on ESPNU.

3. High school career

Reese helped lead Lee County to the Georgia Class 6A title and a 14-1 record in his senior season.

4. Bet you didn’t know

Lee County has produced several big football prospects, including defensive lineman Aubrey Solomon, who chose Michigan over Georgia last year. Obviously UGA hopes history doesn’t repeat itself. Chris Barnes, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman at Georgia, also came from Lee County. But the most famous athlete to graduate from the school played baseball: the San Francisco Giants’ Buster Posey.

5. How might the Bulldogs use Otis Reese?

While most outside linebackers occasionally flex down to defensive line, Reese might flex the other way. He played safety during his high school career, and he has the speed and size to do that at the college level if needed. Of course, Georgia also could ask Reese to put on weight and concentrate on linebacker, and use his athleticism as an advantage in run and pass coverage. He could even play some at the star, a la Lorenzo Carter. Either way, Georgia is very hopeful of signing him as it tries to restock with the departures of Carter and Davin Bellamy. The Bulldogs have Adam Anderson and Azeez Ojulari on board, and are also hoping to sign 4-star linebacker Quay Walker.
