D’Andre Swift has been limited over the last few weeks with tendinitis in his ankle.

The prized UGA 2017 commitment at RB hasn’t gotten the reps he’s used to. He played only sparingly in a nationally-televised clash with his cousin and fellow UGA commit Mark Webb Jr. about a month ago.

It seems safe to say he’s back to full health. Swift ran for 14.5 yards per carry on Saturday and scored a career-high 7 touchdowns in a 63-35 win against rival La Salle.

The St. Joseph’s Prep (Philadelphia, Pa.) senior standout told DawgNation that the scoring effort was a new career high. A Prep athletic official also deemed it a safe assumption that Swift also set a new school record.

The 4-star prospect had 18 carries for 269 yards and 6 touchdowns. He added another score off a pass reception. The 5-foot-10, 215-pounder is rated as the nation’s No. 4 RB prospect and the No. 37 overall prospect in 2017. That makes Swift the second-highest rated signee in a Georgia recruiting class that ranks third nationally in the 247Sports Team Composite rankings.

The U.S. Army All-American is rated as the No. 1 player in Pennsylvania this year. He announced his intention to attend UGA in an epic commitment video produced by Bleacher Report.

It proved to be an eye-opening weekend for the Georgia commitments at running back for the 2017 cycle. Toneil Carter, another 4-star RB from Houston, scored 5 touchdowns of his own.The 5-foot-11, 191-pounder had 32 carries for 282 yards, an average of 8.8 yards per attempt.

Carter is rated as the nation’s No. 7 RB this year.

That adds up to 12 touchdowns and 551 rushing yards for UGA commits this weekend.
