The Bulldogs suffered a rare loss on the recruiting trail on Friday as 2018 offensive tackle Max Wray de-committed from Georgia.
DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell has confirmed through Wray’s father, Sam, that the 4-star offensive tackle has backed off his commitment to Georgia. The news was first reported Barton Simmons of 247Sports. It comes a day after he and his younger brother, 2020 recruit Jake Wray, visited Alabama. The Wray’s also visited Clemson on Friday.
Max Wray’s de-commitment comes almost a full year after he first committed to Georgia back on March 31 of 2016. The Franklin, Tenn., native is the No. 4 offensive tackle prospect in the 2018 recruiting class and the No. 55 overall prospect.
The Bulldogs now have just two commitments for their 2018 class in 4-star OLB Adam Anderson and 3-star LB Donovan Georges.
