With exactly a week from signing day, UGA coach Kirby Smart made the journey to Savannah on Tuesday.
And it looks like the trip was worth it.
Demetris Robertson, the 5-star from Savannah, agreed to take an official visit to UGA the week after signing day after meeting with Smart, according to 247sports.com’s Kipp Adams.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder is rated as the nation’s No. 1 receiver.
Robertson will go will to Georgia Tech this weekend. Robertson is also considering Cal, Notre Dame and Stanford, along with the Bulldogs and Alabama.
DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell had reported earlier Tuesday that Robertson was unlikely to make his decision by next Wednesday, which is signing day.
