BREAKING: Kirby Smart flips Bama commit to UGA
Mecole Hardman started UGA’s day off with a bang.
That meant the Bulldogs added a 5-star prospect to the National Signing Day bucket list.
Now add a flip to that. This one is also the white unicorn of those decisions because it is an Alabama flip. McEachern 3-star receiver Tyler Simmons opted to sign with UGA this morning instead of upholding his commitment to Alabama.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder becomes another big-play option for UGA’s receiving corps this fall. He’s rated as the nation’s No. 62 receiver this year.
Simmons is now the program’s 18th commitment and also the fourth pure receiver signee for the Class of 2016.
