This is interesting: UGA offers 2016 defensive end
It appears that UGA is not done shopping in the aisles for 2016 defensive ends. Levi Onwuzurike, a 3-star defensive end from Texas, just announced via his Twitter account that he has received an offer from UGA on Monday.
The 6-foot-3, 248-pounder plays for one of the nation’s top high school programs at Allen High School in Texas. His Hudl player page credits him with a 4.89 time in the 40-yard dash. He’s rated as a 3-star recruit and the nation’s No. 24 weak-side defensive end by the 247sports composite.
Pay attention to two things of note here:
- Onwuzurike is the teammate of 5-star OT Gregory Little. Little is the nation’s top-rated OL and the overall No. 2 prospect in the Class of 2016.
- Onwuzurike is also a senior. That might mean that UGA still feels it has some work to do with finishing out its defensive line class with the likes of Derrick Brown, Michail Carter, Brian Burns, Rashan Gary and Antwuan Jackson, among others.
Onwuzurike, the No. 50 overall prospect out of Texas, also reports offers from Baylor, Michigan, Texas Tech and Washington, among others.
