Jamyest Williams, a 4-star cornerback from Archer, is scheduled to have a fairly busy September.

The UGA target told the AJC this weekend that he’ll be in attendance for Auburn’s season-opener against Louisville on Sept. 5. here in Atlanta. Just last week, he confirmed he would be visiting Michigan State on Sept. 12.

Williams last visited Auburn in July. That was when he and teammate E.J. Price, a 4-star tackle, visited the campus together.

What stands out to Williams about the Tigers?

“(Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp) and (secondary coach Travaris Robinson),” Williams said, “ I love them. They’re great coaches. I have a great relationship with them and I love that atmosphere out there.”

Williams cited the coaching duo’s success at Florida — particularly in developing defensive backs — as having the potential to impact his decision.

“It affects (my decision) a lot,” Williams said. “(Robinson) was telling me that all of that Florida ‘DB-U’ stuff, that’s him. Now that he’s at Auburn, I can’t wait to see what them guys do.”

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound cornerback told the AJC last week that he also plans to take unofficial visits to Florida State, Tennessee, Oklahoma and UGA this fall. Williams has the Bulldogs as No. 3 or No. 4 in his list of top schools.

Williams rushed for 86 yards on 25 carries and one touchdown in Archer’s win over Peachtree Ridge on Saturday.
