UGA seems to be a popular official visit destination for recruits committed to other schools.

Jared Mayden, a 4-star Oregon cornerback commit, will take an official visit to UGA on Sept. 19 for the South Carolina game, per Justin Hopkins of 247Sports.com. Florida wide receiver commit Joshua Hammond also announced an official visit to UGA on Sunday.

Mayden released a top seven list before committing to Oregon, and UGA did not make the cut at that time. It should be noted that Mayden released his list one day after receiving an offer from UGA in late June.

UGA currently has three commits at defensive back in Tyrique McGhee, Malek Young and Chad Clay. The Bulldogs are targeting the nation’s No. 1 athlete: Mecole Hardman, Jr. and Alabama de-commit Shyheim Carter to join those three in the secondary.
